I still remember the first time I used internet marketing.

I was living in Thailand, selling properties to foreigners.

Only catch was, it was the middle of low-season and I was the only foreigner in sight.

Sitting at my desk I wondered what I was going to do to get sales.

I had a laptop infront of me.

So I studied all day, all night about search engine optimisation.

By the time high season came around, we were at the top of the search results for ‘property investment thailand’ and similar keywords.

We went from 1 lead every 3 months, to 10 leads a day.

I sold 93 villas out within a few months, and went onto do 4 more projects.

That was when my passion for marketing began.

There has been lots of wins and losses since then as Google advertising was introduced, email marketing and later social media.

It has been one hell of a learning curve, a never ending pursuit of trial and error.

When I first discovered LinkedIn, I knew it was a unique opportunity.

The world’s largest business network in history and the global communication portal for professionals.

I was soon getting 300-500% the ROI that I could obtain on any other marketing channel.

I quit my business networking clubs and focused soley on LinkedIn.

I was hooked.
